Together, we can

educate future generations
“I’m Joshua Tandy. I do biomedical anatomy at Cardiff University. Working with your peers is extremely important for university. Together, we can educate future generations. I’d like to do a postgraduate degree here, and then hopefully go on to do a doctorate, become a lecturer after that.”

Joshua Tandy (BSc)

Biomedical Sciences

Joshua believes that research is so important for shaping education – and that educating future generations is vital for achieving real change across the world.

Having begun his studies at Cardiff on a genetics course, he quickly realised his passion lay in anatomy and found that the anatomy team’s approach to teamwork really resonated with him. What excites him most about his course is the direct link between research and the opportunity to contribute to advancing our understanding of human biology.

Teamwork has been an essential part of his journey at Cardiff, and it’s been really eye-opening for Joshua to engage with such a diverse group of people during his time here. He hopes to have a long career in research and education, to inspire others to pursue their passions and to make meaningful contributions to our understanding of human anatomy.

Joshua thinks one of the most important things you learn here is not just what you want to do, but who you are, and that understanding your own values and beliefs is key to shaping your future career. We can’t wait to continue to nurture this environment not only for Joshua, but for all of our students.
